London, England!

Today, I arrived in the place I've wanted to visit ever since I was about twelve years old, London, England. There are so many reasons I want to be here! For one, the scenery is beautiful! Plus, multiple of my favorite music artists are from London! How cool is that? You get to do so many things in London, like get on a huge Ferris wheel that lets you see all of London, visit the studio where one of the most famous movie series was made, and even more!

Day One:

My plane ticket to London cost around $2122. Once I arrived in London, it was around eight o’ clock in the night. So, I rented a car for the five days I’m here to get around the city, which only cost $148. I drove to the hotel I am staying at. I am staying at the London House Hotel, which costs $163 per night.  I am worn out from traveling for the most part of the day, so I’m going to sleep. I can’t wait to start the best experience of my life tomorrow!

Day Two:

Today was so interesting! When I woke up this morning, I got myself dressed and went to breakfast at a little cafĂ© right down the road from my hotel. After I got down eating, I went to the first thing I wanted to do. I went and visited the London Eye.  In case you didn’t know, the London Eye is a huge Ferris wheel on the south bank of the Thames River. I paid $29.16 for my ticket onto the London Eye. I got on, and got to the very top, and it was a spectacular sight! I had a lovely view of London from the top. I could see many famous landmarks in London from the top of the Eye, such as the Buckingham Palace!

After I got done with the London Eye, I went to the Madame Tussads London. This is a gallery with life- like wax figures of many famous people! They have wax figures of music artists, actors, actresses, famous athletes, Marvel superheroes, and so much more! Some wax figures that I saw today was Albert Einstein, Leonardo Dicaprio, Adele, Michael Jackson, Tom Daley, Martin Luther King Jr, and even a wax figure of the queen of England! My ticket cost $28.00.

I went and visited a few more places and I got something to eat, and now I’m back at the hotel. This day has been very exciting and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the week will be like!

Day Three

Today was amazing! First, I went and got breakfast.  After I got done eating I started my day off. The first place I decided to go to is, The Warner Bros. studio tour. It was quite an experience. I got to experience the making of a very popular movie/book series, Harry Potter.  You took a walking tour through the studio, and I saw various things from the actual Harry Potter movies, such as props, the costumes, and even some sets they used to create the movies. I even got to walk around the actual Great Hall they used to create the movies! I also got to do some other things like explore Dumbledore’s office, and see how the creatures in the movies were created by a green screen effect.

After I got done with the tour, I decided to visit The Shard. This is London’s newest attraction; it’s the tallest building in Western Europe.  The Shard is 1,016 feet high! I stopped at levels 68, 69, and 72 and I could see the perfect sight of the shards of glass on top of the building! My ticket to The Shard was $29.95.

I stopped at one more place today, which was St. Paul’s Cathedral. I got to experience the tombs and memorials of some of London’s most famous leaders, such as Duke of Wellington. I climbed up to the Golden Gallery, and experienced a breath taking view of London. My admission into the Cathedral was $14.95.

That was my day, and I hope the last two days of this vacation is as great as the last three has been!

Day Four

Today, I spent most of the day doing one thing, but it was such a wonderful experience. Today, I took a cruise down the Thames River that runs through London. I saw thousands of years of London’s history just by the cruise I took. I saw some famous landmarks of London also, like the London Bridge and Big Ben.

After I got done with the cruise, I decided I had time to do one more thing, so I decided to visit Kesington Palace. Kesington Palace was the original home of Princess Diana. Part of the palace was open for public to see, and I even saw a Queen Victoria exhibit. After I got done inside the palace, I went outside and visited the gardens, which is the main highlight of the palace.

Tomorrow is my last day here, and hopefully it’ll be the best day yet!

Day Five

Today was my last day in London, and now I’m on the plane heading back to America.  So, this is what I did for my last day.

First, I got breakfast. Then, I decided to visit Big Ben Clock. I mean, you can’t go to London without visiting one of London’s most famous landmarks!

After that, I visited the London Museum. The museum had so many historical things from different cultures all over the world, which dated back to over two million years ago. Some things that I saw inside the museum are, The Rosetta Stone, mummies from the Egyptians, and Parthenon sculptures.

There was one last thing I wanted to do while I was in London. I wanted to visit Abbey Road. Just in case you didn’t know, Abbey Road is the spot captured on The Beatles Abbey Road cover. I had always wanted to visit that particular spot in London, and I got to.

So, this was my experience in London, and I have loved every day of it. It was definitely the experience of a life time, and I would love to come back and visit again one day.
